Coverage of the Conference.

IP Head : Arko Jyoti Mitra

Delegation Type: Single

"The media is the most powerful entity in the world. They have the power to make the innocent guilty and to make the guilty innocent and that's power, because they control the minds of the masses." ~ Malcolm X.

As part of the International Press Corps at SSMUN 2018, delegates, you will get to experience the conference's ever-changing political climate through the lens of an onlooker. The press does not represent the interests and policies of a country but is a representative of public opinion on a global podium. Its job is to report and investigate on the proceedings in committees through a plethora of articles, conducting press conferences, opinion polls and interviews, and publishing press releases and editorials. Delegates, be on your toes throughout as you are the one who will bridge the gap between the United Nations and the rest of the world.

Be there as you discover the power and sway of words, the necessity of balanced reporting in conveying the pulse of the entire conference, and most importantly, the absolute need to challenge decisions and actions taken by delegates of all nations across committees.
